Hiking season
Clear air and blue skies. Answer the call of the mountains, lace up your mountain boots and discover the most beautiful peaks of the Sella massif. You will find rustic mountain huts, hiking trails to explore with your little ones in a carrier or a pram and a mountain panorama that astonishes at all times. Whether you are an experienced mountaineer or a nature lover, relaxed or demanding: the trail network starting right in front of our Family Hotel Biancaneve is as varied as nature itself.
Hiking in the Val Gardena Valley is a great experience, especially for the little ones. They can follow the traces of past legends, observe animals in their natural habitat, explore forests barefoot and go on adventurous hikes. A very special theme trail can be experienced along the “Naturonda” trail on the Sella Pass. This is where the mysterious Stone City lies beneath the Sassolungo, with its bizarre and up to thirty metres high boulders. If you are lucky, you might spot a proud golden eagle circling in the sky or maybe see a marmot.
Young and adult explorers are rewarded with a visit to our indoor and outdoor water worlds where they can play, splash around and relax.
Bike tours for each taste
From easy meadow paths for recreational riders and up to more demanding mountain trails, dolomitic passes and downhill trails for well-trained mountain bikers. You prefer to explore the enchanting Val Gardena Valley on your bike? Swing on the saddle! With us here at the Family Hotel Biancaneve you are at the very right place. After all, our region, with its extensive cycle track network, is one of the most attractive biking destinations in South Tyrol.
If you are interested in a guided bike tour, we recommend to join a tour with our junior chef and mountain bike guide Ferdinand. He knows where to find the most beautiful views in the Dolomites and will be happy to reveal his top insider tips. We have mountain bikes and e-bikes available to rent for all ages. This word best describes the feeling when you stand on the top of a Dolomite peak with your cheeks glowing and realising that you have never been as close to heaven as in this very moment. Put your climbing gear and helmet on and go – this adventure is not only for experienced climbing enthusiasts, but also for everyone who have always wanted to try climbing. If you are just starting out, you can exercise and work off your energy in the beautiful Langental climbing garden.
