We, the Riffeser family, have been hosts with all of our hearts for many generations. After all, it is the encounters with people that enrich our lives.
This is particularly evident in the fact that all members of our family work at the Family Hotel Biancaneve: Irma has been running the Biancaneve for more than 40 years by now. Her husband Walter passed away a few years ago and certainly looks down on us from time to time, enjoying the passion, commitment and attention to detail with which the entire team takes care of our guests' well-being. It is thanks to Irma's visionary ideas and her courage to put them into practice that the former Residence was transformed into the first family hotel in Selva Val Gardena after a complex renovation. You will always find her cheerful, smiling and good-humoured in the hotel.
Ferdinand, who studied economics in Valencia and Siena, joined the family business a few years ago and now runs the hotel. He declares the wishes of guests of all ages to be a heartfelt matter, just like those of the entire staff. It is on the road where Ferdinand finds his balance. He loves to go on mountain bike and hiking tours in the Val Gardena Valley as well as discovering new places on his travels. For instance, he has already lived in Moscow and Brisbane for a while, travelled on the Trans-Siberian Railway and climbed the Kilimanjaro. Since October 2020, Ferdinand has been married to Carmen. Her great passion is the holistic well-being: she works as a wellness trainer in the Val Gardena Valley and, upon request, immerses herself in the world of yoga together with beginners as well as more experienced practitioners in our hotel.
Guido, the youngest of the family, was also born with a great passion for tourism, which is why he runs the family-owned Residence Cesa Rives never losing sight of our high quality standards. Besides children's laughter, also football makes his heart beat very high: after successfully studying at a university in America, nine years as football coach in various US states and Barranquilla in Colombia, he is currently in charge of the U-17 team of FC Parma.
The story of our family hotel is characterised by people who, filled with joy, passion and devotion to their profession, create unique childhood memories making our house a place of encounter. A family place.

We continue to discover the kitchen. We cook with passion. The kitchen‘s team led by the chef Andrea Torri focuses on regionality and most of the ingredients are used, comes from local producers. Because if you know where products come from it tastes even better. Inspired by freshness, creativity and the wishes of small and large gourmets, our chefs love to make you families happy with a culinary journey through the Alps.

Biancaneve's eighth dwarf
Dolomitolo still seems to like it here with us as much as our guests do. When many years ago he wandered through the Val Gardena Dolomites together with the seven dwarfs, he liked it so much that he decided to stay. The forests and alpine pastures around Selva Val Gardena are his habitat. And since Dolomitolo also loves to play with children, he can be found at our Family Hotel Biancaneve from time to time. What he loves most of all, is making children laugh and being hugged by them. He is looking forward to meeting you!
